Under German law, investment funds count as segregated assets (Sondervermögen). For you that means your fund units stay your property even if the fund company, the custodian bank or the asset manager becomes insolvent. Funds in Germany are also subject to state authorisation and supervision. What segregation does not protect against is market risk — the value of your investment moves up and down.

How safe is my money when invested with quirion?
The statutory deposit protection of EUR 100,000 applies to every account. At quirion, coverage under the voluntary deposit protection fund of the Association of German Banks (BdB) even extends into the millions.
What happens if quirion goes bankrupt?
That would not mean any loss for you: your ETFs and securities are untouchable and belong to you – whether the fund company becomes insolvent, or the custodian bank or asset manager does.
