Where do I enter the promotional code as a new customer?

First, you receive an investment proposal tailored to your return-risk profile. You can then sign in with your email address. After registering and providing your personal details, you can enter the promotional code. Once you have entered the code correctly, the conditions of participation for the offer will be displayed.

You can then proceed with verifying your identity.

What are ETFs (index funds)?

As an alternative to open-ended, actively managed investment funds, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) have become established in recent years.

An ETF replicates a given index as precisely as possible and adjusts its composition to match its reference value.

By buying an MDAX ETF, for example, you get all the stocks contained in the MDAX in exactly their current composition on the market. If the composition of the MDAX changes, the composition of your ETF changes too.

As a result, the management and administration fees for an ETF are considerably lower. On average, they amount to 0.17 percent of the investment sum per year. If a fund manager actively looks after your investment funds, the costs rise to between 1.5 and 2.5 percent per year.

At the same time, many studies show that in over 90 percent of cases an active fund manager is unable to beat the index over the long term.

How does opening a portfolio work?

First, you register via “Open a portfolio” on our portal. In doing so, you sign up with your email address and a password of your choice.

You then receive a PIN code by email to verify your email address. Once you have entered this PIN code, your personal details, contact details and ID details are recorded.

Finally, you have the choice between verifying your identity in the quirion app, on your computer, or at a Deutsche Post branch. Your quirion portfolio is then opened for you without delay.
