NO MORE GUT FEELING when investing

NO MORE GUT FEELING when investing

quirion, Germany's digital investment platform, is launching its online campaign "NO MORE GUT FEELING" starting today. The core message: the much-cited GUT FEELING makes sense in many situations in life, but is completely out of place when it comes to your own investments. At the heart of the campaign are three eye-catching five-second spots, which use absurd situations to illustrate what matters when investing: better to set the GUT FEELING aside and let rationality and reason prevail instead.

A bride, a roulette player, and a doctor put the viewer into a precarious situation via a first-person view. The indirect message: with your GUT FEELING you can get things quite badly wrong pretty often. Especially when it comes to your own investments, you should bear this insight in mind. A highlight of the campaign: YouTube users and Facebook fans are invited to describe a "NO MORE GUT FEELING" moment of their own, and the best story will then be turned into a film.

"With our spots we want to shake investors up in a humorous way and prompt them to rethink," explains quirion CEO Anna Voronina. "Because in Germany, money is still being invested badly out of convenience or because people ask their gut. In expensive funds, hot investment tips, favorite companies, or the supposedly safe savings account. That leads to people missing out on the returns achievable on the capital market for building wealth. At quirion, we're putting an end to that," says Voronina.

Instead of emotion, quirion consistently relies on a systematic approach to investing with a scientifically based investment concept: the Berlin-based robo-advisor enables investors to make an algorithm-based investment starting from as little as 10,000 euros. Product selection and portfolio management are also computer-assisted.

Responsible for the eye-catching online spots are the agency Creative Cosmos 15 (Munich and Berlin) and the production company EASYdoesit from Berlin. Starting today, the spots are available on YouTube and Facebook as well as on quirion's website. "Listening to your GUT FEELING makes sense in many situations in life, but when it comes to investing it is absolutely counterproductive," says Voronina. "Conveying this message in an unusual way was a lot of fun, and I thank the agencies involved for their professional collaboration."
