The testers at Extra Magazin assessed a total of nine providers across four categories: offering, security, service, and costs. The offering and costs categories were each weighted at 40 percent, and the security and service categories at 10 percent each. The verdicts awarded were very good, good, and satisfactory.

quirion won the testers over above all in the areas of service and pricing model. While other providers tier their prices and in some cases also charge performance fees, quirion scores with a flat fee of just 0.48 percent per year of the invested volume. With the digital investment advice, no further fees apply, and all commissions and kickbacks are refunded to the client. In this way, quirion underscores its commitment to transparency.
On the topic of security too, quirion has an edge. Although invested funds are in principle protected against insolvency or default at all providers, there are differences in the manner of regulation. quirion, for instance, holds a banking license with particularly strict requirements.

quirion is a pioneer
Compared with the Anglo-Saxon regions, the market for so-called robo-advisors in Germany is still fairly small. quirion is one of the pioneers and can already point to a performance track record of more than two years. Because other providers are not yet that far along, the testers did not yet take this performance criterion - surely of interest to many investors - into account in the current test.
Across all categories combined, quirion achieved 4.0 stars and thus the test result "very good" (see the overall result). That the testers did not have to award a single satisfactory rating shows: all providers are doing a solid job. A conclusion that benefits the entire industry. The testers are convinced that robo-advisors will establish themselves as a fixed component of asset investment in the coming years.
Investors should therefore take a close look at the individual offerings and try them out. If you have questions about your investment strategy, simply contact the independent experts at quirion.
