Where do I enter the promo code as a new customer?

First, you'll receive an investment proposal matched to your return-risk profile. Then you can sign in with your email address. After registration, in which you provide your personal details, you can enter the promo code. Once you've entered the code correctly, the participation terms for the offer will be shown to you.

You can then proceed with identity verification.

What are ETFs (index funds)?

As an alternative to open, actively managed investment funds, exchange traded funds (ETFs) have established themselves in recent years.

An ETF replicates a given index as precisely as possible and adjusts its composition to match its reference value.

For example, when you buy an MDAX ETF, you receive all the securities contained in the MDAX in exactly their current market composition. If the composition of the MDAX changes, the composition of your ETF changes too.

As a result, the management and administration fees of an ETF are considerably lower. On average, they are around 0.17 percent of the invested amount per year. If a fund manager actively looks after your investment funds, the costs rise to 1.5 to 2.5 percent per year.

At the same time, many studies show that an active fund manager fails to beat the index over the long term in more than 90 percent of cases.

How does opening a portfolio work?

First, you register via “Open portfolio” on our portal. You sign up with your email address and a password of your choice.

You then receive a PIN code by email to verify your email address. After entering this PIN code, your personal details, contact details and ID data are recorded.

Finally, you can choose between identity verification in the quirion app, on your computer, or at Deutsche Post branches. Your quirion portfolio will then be opened for you without delay.
