How do I make more of my money? Depending on whom investors ask, the answers vary widely. A quick glance at the relevant media makes that clear. There, the advice is usually shaped by the news of the day or by whatever mood currently prevails on the markets. Sometimes it's „hot“ growth stocks that are supposedly poised for fresh price jumps. Sometimes the focus is on the supposedly undiscovered price potential of particularly solid companies. Either way, week after week your attention is steered in different directions. And many portfolios look accordingly.
The example quirion coaching session „Simple rules for better investing“ approaches the question of how to make more of your money in a completely different way. It doesn't start with the latest news or price movements—but with the investor themselves. Spotting pitfalls, analyzing your own starting point: „We guide those who are interested systematically along a path toward defining and reaching their own investment goals,“ explains Süleyman Kus, one of the coaches. Kus is a wealth advisor for quirion and at Quirin Privatbank. He studied business administration with a focus on Banking & Finance and has now been with our Frankfurt branch for a year. „The feedback on our first coaching sessions was already very positive,“ Kus says happily.
Going digital for better investing
The new coaching sessions are part of the Premium and Private service packages introduced in the summer. In addition to digital asset management with varying degrees of depth and personalization, these also include advice. „The coaching sessions are an interactive online format,“ explains Arndt Kussmann, Head of Investment Communication and Analysis. „That's exactly what younger people are looking for. And because we at quirion and Quirin Privatbank are completely independent of product commissions, we can provide neutral, factual information on these topics.“
Besides the rules for better investing, the coaching program already covers a number of other topics. One of them, for example, revolves around securing your financial future. Because that comes with pitfalls of its own. How do I work out my pension gap? How can I close it in a targeted way?
The coaches provide concrete answers to these questions.
The topics on offer also include „Saving for your children,“ psychological aspects of investing, and a learning module on the subject of risk management. In these sessions, the coaches explain key basic concepts, put them into context—and offer tips you can apply right away. „Contrary to what some people claim, there really are a few simple principles you can follow when investing,“ Kussmann points out. „They are the result of many years of capital-market research and financial-market analysis.“
Presented simply and concisely
Those who are interested need not fear being confronted with long columns of figures or needlessly complicated interrelationships in the coaching sessions. „You don't have to be a scientist yourself to benefit from the findings of science,“ wealth advisor Kus underlines. „We present the core content simply and answer participants' questions in as practical a way as possible.“ The coaching sessions, however, are no substitute for individual advice. „That advice is also included in the Premium and Private service packages, so if you wish, an advisory meeting can follow on from the coaching sessions.“
The coaching sessions take place on the video platform Zoom. After registering, those interested receive a link for the respective session, which lasts between 60 and 90 minutes. „We don't want to cover the topics only superficially, but we also don't want to overload our customers,“ Kussmann underlines. And if you can't make a particular date: the individual topics are repeated every three months. „The goal of Quirin and of quirion has been from the very beginning to make Germany a better place for investors,“ the investment expert emphasizes. „The coaching sessions are another step we're now taking on the way toward that goal.“
