Does everything work automatically with a robo-advisor?
We use the opportunities offered by digitalisation. However, no digital process can cover every aspect of investing. For this reason, the “human factor” continues to play an important role at quirion: our service team answers your questions personally by chat and email.
In addition: Experienced investment professionals are responsible for setting up the investment strategy and for the continuous monitoring of the model portfolios. Order management, in turn, takes care of what is known as product allocation.
We are convinced: Only through the interplay of human and machine is it possible to offer solid yet affordable digital asset management.
Why does „rebalancing“ reduce risk?
Price fluctuations are constantly shifting the weightings within a portfolio. If, for example, an equity ETF is held in the portfolio and this index rises disproportionately, the ETF takes on a higher weighting compared to other positions. With these shifts, the risk profile of the portfolio changes, which under certain circumstances no longer matches the investor's profile. To restore the original weighting, there is rebalancing.
How safe is investing in ETF portfolios?
ETFs are exchange-traded products. Their prices fluctuate continuously. However, broad diversification helps to reduce risks. With us, diversification takes place not only through the use of ETFs, but also at the portfolio level: through worldwide diversification, the risks of individual markets are cushioned.

Cash in your account is protected by the statutory deposit guarantee up to 100,000 euros per customer. Keeping the assets separate does not protect against price losses.
